The Carrum Downs Community Group (CDCG) was founded in 2004 as an informal network of local residents, school representatives, various community groups, organisations and local businesses.
In 2005 the group commenced meeting at the Lyrebird Community Centre (LCC) and formalised the group by becoming auspiced by the LCC Board of Management.
The CDCG meets on the last Tuesday of each month.

Provide community members, groups, organisations and businesses the opportunity to exchange information, network and to develop collaborative goals and projects.
Develop links with Local, State and Federal Government.
Support local community groups and organisations that seek funding opportunities for local initiatives.

The Carrum Downs Community Group exists to bring together interested people to facilitate the building of a better Carrum Downs community through the development of relationships, social infrastructure and services that meet peoples needs.
