Do you want to experience something rewarding and exciting?
Lyrebird Community Centre offers lots of great programs, activities and opportunities for local community minded people of all ages to be involved in.
The Centre strives to grow and meet the ever changing needs of the Carrum Downs / Skye area by continually looking at new and exciting ideas that will fulfill our motto 'Bringing the Community Together'.
Lyrebird Community Centre moved to its current location in late 1993 and was officially opened in March 1994. It received a much needed extension in 2003 when the Centre became an even larger, more modern facility.
It had originally been established as the Carrum Downs Community Centre in 1988 and was then located in the GK Tucker Village as part of the Brotherhood of St Laurence. It originally consisted of two small cottages; one for playgroup and the other allowing craft activities and to house the Centre Manager.
Today, the Centre is a vibrant venue, quickly becoming known as the hub of our community.
